Weavers
Karbabad village on Bahrain’s north coast is famous for its basket
weavers who deftly weave palm stems and fronds into baskets and
mats of all shapes and sizes. The palm fronds are occasionally
dyed, usually green and purple, thereby allowing the weavers to
incorporate bright and attractive splashes of colour into their
designs.
